Two dads who want to make a difference 🚍 ✨

Nimmo, originally called “Snarlig,” was created in 2020 in Molde by founders Eirik Sandøy Aa and Vebjørn Heggdal from the technology company Nivero AS. As parents of three young children each, with demanding work schedules and busy family lives, Eirik and Vebjørn often struggled with the logistics of driving their kids to various activities.

One day, while observing near-empty buses passing by their office, they started pondering the inefficiency of public transport. With extensive experience in technology and software development, the idea gradually emerged: To create a system that could make public transportation smarter while also addressing everyday logistics for families.

Nimmo AS was officially established in the fall of 2022 and, by 2024, had transitioned from being a transportation service to a software provider. With user-friendly, thoroughly tested solutions, three successful pilots with over 3,000 customer trips in Molde, Ålesund and Trondheim, Nimmo has developed a unique platform for ridepooling that can contribute to creating more sustainable cities and communities. In the coming years, Nimmo aims to become a national phenomenon, with plans for international expansion in the near future.
