Code of conduct for drivers

As a driver of a transport service powered by the Nimmo software platform it is your responsibility to bring your passengers safely and comfortably from their pickup site to their destination.

As a driver it is your responsibility to:

  • Make sure you have the correct driving license and any other required permits to drive this type of transport service.

  • You are fit to drive, with sufficient rest time before starting a trip and not being under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including prescribed medicines that makes you unfit to drive).

  • Observe all applicable traffic rules and regulations and be a considerate driver.

  • Aim at driving smoothly to give your passengers a comfortable drive.

  • Use the Nimmo system as intended. Always log on to your trip and follow the instructions in the system. If you are driving children or elderly people, make sure to follow the routines that apply. (See the Nimmo Driver user guide for more information.)

  • Follow any other routines set up by the transport organizer.

During the trips

  • Be polite and helpful. Greet each passenger and be prepared to answer questions they may have.

  • Pay attention to safety. Remind passengers to use seat belts, and – if applicable - make sure that car seats / bumper seats are installed and used correctly, that wheelchairs are securely fastened, and luggage stoved safely.

Confidentiality, privacy and loyalty

  • Maintain confidentiality. Do not disclose any information about passengers or guardians, agreements between the parties involved in the transport service, or other information that comes to our attention as part of your job as a driver.

  • Be loyal to your employer, the transport organizer and to the Nimmo system and brand. Address any disagreements with your employer or the transport organizer.

  • Do not photograph your passengers without permission. Children cannot be photographed without permission from their guardian.

Emergencies

  • In an emergency, always put safety first. The transport organizer should have routines set up for emergency contacts and other vital information for emergency situations.
